WORK OF THE TEMPLE OF ISIS

In order to become a Priestess or Priest in the Temple of Isis one needs to be doing
something of significance for the planet. This could take many forms. One needs to
write a spiritual biography to indicate what it is that they are accomplishing that will
enhance life on earth. It need not be a major work but it must have heartfelt
meaning . The Goddess , it would seem, has assignments for those that
choose to follow her, and she makes this work known in subtle ways.

In the Temple of Isis , we have healers using a wide assortment of modalities.
We have groups that work with the military , in hospitals and in prisons.
Many work with animal rescue or saving endangered species by breeding
them as we do here at Isis Oasis. Others work with children in the
teaching profession especially in alternative forms of learning.

There are many that have published important works, such as
deTraci Regula whose comprehensive and inspiring book The
Mysteries of Isis, and Isadora Forrest who wrote Isis Magic, a detailed
and fascinating book of the history of the Goddess Isis as well as
rituals one might engage in. Mary Greer is another well known author
on the Tarot and her notable work Women of the Golden Dawn.
There are musicians that are putting out unique CDs , and videographers
who are creating enlightening videos. There are artists who are producing
work that is outstanding and offer beauty in various forms.

The Temple of Isis is a Spiritual Organization and has another arm that
is a Cultural organization called the Isis Society for Inspirational Studies.
This non-profit organization is dedicated to bridging ancient cultures to the
new age. It puts on lectures, concerts and plays that are entertaining but also
educational and enlivening. These are put on in the Isis Oasis theatre.

Each Priestess or Priest are encouraged to give up three meals at any time
during a week and with the money saved from this simple fast send the funds
to some organization that is taking care of feeding hungry children in
different third world countries of their choice.

We are hoping eventually to set up our own outreach program to a targeted
area in Egypt , for many of us travel there frequently and can visit the children
that are benefiting.

As we grow, more and more organized work will be done in the name of the
Goddess Isis, for it is clear that there is much to be done to help create a more
harmonious earth.

We, of the Temple of Isis, are dedicated to bringing more light and love in the universe.
