The Goddess
Maat is the personification of the fundamental order of the
universe. She always wears an Ostrich feather on her head.
Here at the Temple of Isis we utilize her 42 laws which we
changed to the 42 Ideals and recreated them to be contemporary
and positive. Ancient Egyptians believed if one did not live
up to her laws when their heart was weighed against a feather
on a pair of scales, the deceased would not join with the
God Osiris in the blessed land. She too is winged.
