| Isis
was known to be depicted as a winged deity. Here in the traditional
kneeling position, wings outstretched, she seems to be encompassing
compassion for all the world. It is interesting to note that
Isis has always reigned supreme in the ancient world, not only
in Egypt but throughout all corners of the Roman Empire. There
have been temples to her found throughout Europe as well and
she is still worshipped to this day. |
